Lady Volunteers

Rutgers 46-59 Tennessee

The Tennessee Lady Volunteers captured the National Championship for women's NCAA basketball. Tennessee led by legendary coach Pat Summitt beat fourth seed Rutgers in the final. For Summitt this is her 12th trip to the National Championships, more than any other coach in NCAA basketball history. This years most outstanding player award winner Candice Parker led the Lady Vols to victory with 17 points.

Great looking blog!

I'm impressed. I like that your blog seems to have a sports theme. There are soooo many issues in sports that I'm sure you could do all of your posts on media/sports issues. Here are a few off the top of my head:

Do athletes have a responsibility to "be a good role model to kids?" Don Cherry said they do not the other day, and that is why fighting should be allowed

Should bball players be told what to wear? last year they were told they had to dress up, NO urban clothing would be allowed

Fighting yes or no

advertising in the games - tv commercial breaks worked into the game

salaries - too much?

women in sports - why the inequality?

China and the Olympics?

Why are sports important to our culture - do they replace religion?

Anyway, these are just suggestions.

Great work, keep it up!
